1. Overview
At Accademia Cinematografica, we are committed to providing exceptional cinematography services. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling of our services.
2. Deposit and Payment Terms
All bookings require a non-refundable deposit to secure your date:
- Standard Projects: 30% deposit required upon booking confirmation
- Large Productions: 50% deposit may be required for projects exceeding £10,000
- Final Payment: Due upon completion of services or as specified in the contract
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 Client Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, the following terms apply:
- More than 30 days before the scheduled date: Deposit is non-refundable, but can be transferred to a future booking within 12 months
- 15-30 days before the scheduled date: 50% of the total project cost is payable
- 7-14 days before the scheduled date: 75% of the total project cost is payable
- Less than 7 days before the scheduled date: 100% of the total project cost is payable
3.2 Accademia Cinematografica Cancellations
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking:
- Full refund of all payments made
- We will make every effort to provide alternative operators or reschedule
- We are not liable for any consequential losses or expenses
4. Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances change. Rescheduling terms:
- First Reschedule (more than 14 days notice): No additional charge, subject to availability
- Second Reschedule or less than 14 days notice: £250 rescheduling fee applies
- Less than 7 days notice: Treated as a cancellation (see Section 3.1)
5. Weather and Force Majeure
For outdoor shoots affected by weather or unforeseen circumstances:
- Adverse Weather: If conditions make filming unsafe or impossible, we will work with you to reschedule at no additional charge
- Force Majeure: Events beyond our control (natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions) may result in cancellation with full refund
- Weather-related rescheduling must be mutually agreed upon
6. Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:
- Significant equipment failure that prevents completion of agreed services
- Failure to deliver agreed-upon footage quality due to our error
- Breach of contract terms by Accademia Cinematografica
Partial refund requests must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the service date.
7. Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:
- Booking deposits
- Travel expenses already incurred
- Equipment rental costs for specialised gear
- Third-party contractor fees
- Permits and location fees
8. Refund Processing
When a refund is approved:
- Refunds will be processed within 14 business days
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Bank processing times may vary (typically 5-10 business days)
- You will receive email confirmation once the refund is processed
9. Disputes and Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with our services:
- Contact us within 14 days of the service date
- Provide detailed explanation and supporting evidence
- We will investigate and respond within 7 business days
- We aim to resolve all disputes amicably and professionally
10. Consumer Rights (UK)
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer protection law, including:
- The Consumer Rights Act 2015
- The right to services performed with reasonable care and skill
- The right to services as described
11. Modifications to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this website. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
